Communication Solution for Department of Wildlife Conservation

This is one of biggest two way RF networks in Sri Lanka other than military and CEB networks. Network links 15 wildlife parks and 18 Assistant Director (AD) offices. Internal communications are provided for each national Park by using a VHF Repeater with a 75 FT antenna mast. VHF system included selective call facilities and group call facilities. Communications between Parks and Colombo head office are providing by HF Network. This is the only HF network in Sri Lanka, which provides sophisticated features such as Auto Link Establishment (ALE), Selective Calls, Group Calls, Caller Identification facilities (CLI). In addition to the above facilities, we have introduced VHF-HF interconnect facilities and PSTN interconnect facilities successfully as first time in Sri Lanka. Provisions have been kept for future expansions. This allows them to connect fax machines, GPS Equipment or Low speed Data modems to HF Network in the future.
Total cost of project is Rs.38 Million.

VHF Communication Project for Kumagai Gumi Co. Ltd. (Southern High way Development Project)

This is an innovative solution provided by ETL. Main objective is to provide communications for southern highway development project for their constructions in a range of 50km from Kurudugahahathakma to Matara. Four repeater stations were installed and linked by using a separate VHF Link for simulcast facilities.  Because of this design operations are simple and fast. Advanced facilities like CLI help them to do the communication in a fast and effective way.
Total cost of project is Rs. 6 Million.

 

UHF Communication Project for South Asia Gateway Terminals (SAGT) at Colombo Port.

Communication is an essential part for 24 Hrs shipping operations. ETL was selected to provide total communication solution to SAGT at Colombo Port. The solution includes fabrication of special accessories according to their heavy-duty operations. A dedicated Safety channel has been introduced to communicate in an Emergency case. All installation accessories are under 316 standards to withstand for marine environment. Contract includes 24-hour service agreement and we are maintaining a service with 2-hour response time. Total cost of project is Rs. 11.5 Million.
